Module 3: Cognitive Impairment and Dementia Care

This module provides specialized training for Home Support Workers in communication, behavioural strategies, and care planning for clients living with dementia. Participants learn how to adapt daily care, manage responsive behaviours, and create safe, structured environments that promote comfort and dignity.
Module 4: Supporting Clients with Developmental Disabilities

This module provides Home Support Workers with practical strategies for respectful support, encouraging participation, and adapting care plans to the unique needs of clients with developmental disabilities. Participants learn how to communicate effectively, promote independence, and create safe, inclusive environments that foster confidence and well-being.
Module 5: Documentation and Reporting

This module provides Home Support Workers with the knowledge and skills to document client care accurately, objectively, and professionally. Participants learn how to record daily and progress notes, report incidents promptly, and maintain confidentiality in compliance with privacy laws. Emphasis is placed on clear written communication that supports teamwork, ensures client safety, and upholds ethical standards in health and community care settings.
